SO CAL LOGISTICS AIRPORT SELECTED AS DISTRIBUTION HUB

VICTORVILLE - The Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) in Victorville has been selected as the new location for the North American distribution hub for Go-Video, reports the Los Angeles Business Journal.

Go-Video, a consumer electronics importer based in Scottsdale, Arizona, contracted with DHL Danzas Air & Ocean, the logistics division of DHL, to have a logistics study conducted on behalf of Go-Video.

The study rated the Southern California Logistics Airport highest on the list of possible sites for its distribution operations.

The Pasha Group, a transportation and logistics services provider, will serve as the third-party logistics provider, and operate on behalf of DHL Danzas Air & Ocean at the airport.

"We are investing in Southern California Logistics Airport as the solution to the severely congested supply chain," said Don McKnight, president, The Pasha Distribution Group. "While Go-Video's logistics operation gains time and cost benefits by locating closer to its customers, they will benefit even more when the rail line gets connected directly into the [SCLA]," he said.

In addition to the Go-Video operation, The Pasha Group is also planning a 700-acre full service logistics complex at Southern California Logistics Airport that will handle operations for automobile, container, airfreight support services, warehousing and rail industries.

Established in 1984, GoVideo has developed some of the most recognized product lines in the consumer electronics industry, including the DVD-VCR Combo, the Dual-Deck VCR and the DVD Home Theater in a Box.

The company holds numerous patents covering Dual-Deck technology, as well as other electronics products and systems. GoVideo markets its products under the GoVideo, CineVision, RaveMP, and California Audio Labs brand names.

Go-Video products are distributed throughout North America with approximately 60% of the products being shipped east of the Rocky Mountains and the remaining 40% distributed within California, Arizona, Nevada and Washington.
