FREMONT - 12/19/03 - Datanautics, a new private that provides analytic solutions that help companies use the Internet more effectively to build long-term, multi-channel customer relationships, has taken a huge step into the international arena with the start-up of operations in Scotland and Germany.
 
The company was formed after it purchased the assets of Accrue, which is seeking relief under the US Bankruptcy Code. As a result, the existing Accrue management team, employee force and intellectual property were absorbed by Datanautics.

According to a spokesman for the Fremont-based company, its products "are designed to enable companies to increase the effectiveness of their Internet marketing and merchandising initiatives, better manage customer interactions across multiple channels, and streamline business operations."

Those solutions, he said, "transform volumes of complex Internet data into actionable information that executives and managers use to drive key business decisions and improve the return on their Internet investment."

Customers include industry leaders such as Citicorp, Eastman Kodak, Lands' End, Macy's, Lycos Europe, and Deutsche Telecom.

MEXICO LIFTS CALIFORNIA LETTUCE BAN

MEXICO CITY, Mexico – 10/20/06 – The weeks-old ban on California lettuce shipments to Mexico has been lifted after US Department of Agriculture tests for the E. coli bacteria proved negative; California is the country’s leading producer of lettuce with an estimated 70-75% of the total US production of iceberg lettuce and between 80-85% of the leaf lettuce.
