WATERMAN PARTNERS ON MIDDLE EAST DEAL

EXETER – 09/07/07 – A California-based maker of water treatment equipment has joined in an agreement to expand its product and service line into the Middle East.

Waterman Industries now has an exclusive partnership with Bisan Inc. of Toronto allowing the Canadian company to market its products in Egypt, Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, and Yemen.

Bisan specializes in pumping, piping and engineering services, while Waterman specializes in the sluice gates, flow control equipment, filters, and valves used in both water treatment and large-scale agricultural irrigation.

The foray into the Middle East isn’t the first global marketing effort by the Waterman.

The company, founded in 1907, derives a significant amount of its business from overseas markets and is heavily involved in several water treatment projects in Belarus, Latin America, Asia, and the Caribbean Basin.

Waterman’s manufacturing plant in the San Joaquin Valley community of Exeter began operations in 1969.
