CLARKE NAMED TO UNIVERSAL GUARDIAN ADVISORY BOARD

CARLSBAD - Universal Guardian Corp., a subsidiary of Universal Guardian Holdings Inc., has named Richard Clarke to its Board of Advisors. Clarke is an internationally-recognized security expert, including homeland security, national security, cyber security, and counter-terrorism.
 
Clarke served in the last three US presidential administrations as a senior White House advisor. Over the course of an unprecedented 11 consecutive years of White House service, he held the titles of special assistant to the president for global affairs, national coordinator for security and counter-terrorism, and special advisor to the president for cyber security.
Prior to his White House years, Clarke served for 19 years in the Pentagon, the Intelligence Community, and State Department.
 
Clarke is currently an on-air global terrorism consultant for ABC Television and chairman of Good Harbor Consulting LLC, which provides strategic consulting services in homeland security, cyber security, critical infrastructure protection and counter-terrorism.
 
LA TRANSPORTATION BOARD ELECTS NEW VP

LOS ANGELES - Philip Recht, a partner in the law firm of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP, has been elected as vice president of the Los Angeles Board of Transportation Commissioners which has oversight responsibility for traffic flow, traffic safety, parking, and works with other agencies in improving transit service in the city.

Recht has served as a member of the commission since January, 2002.

He previously served as Deputy Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the US Department of Transportation in the Clinton Administration from 1995-1999. Prior to that, he served as Chief Counsel of the agency in 1994-1995.
