GRANT FOR FIBERGLASS PRODUCTS IN RUSSIA
MOSCOW - The US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has awarded a $110,000 grant for a feasibility study on producing pultruded fiberglass products at the Scientific Production Amalgamation Karboterm facility in Khotkovo, Russia.
The USTDA grant will be used to fund a study on the feasibility of the company's production of pultruded fiberglass components, such as window and construction shapes, panels, tubes, and window and door lineals - products that are not currently produced in the country. According to the USTDA, Karboterm's goal is to supply quality fiberglass products to meet the increasing demands of the Russian housing industry. The USTDA funds various forms of technical assistance, feasibility studies, training, orientation visits and business workshops that support the development of a modern infrastructure and a fair and open trading environment.
