MARTEK BIOSCIENCES NAMES NEW PRESIDENT
 
LOS ANGELES - Martek Biosciences Corp., which makes a variety of products from algae, has named Steve Dubin as president.

Dubin has been a part-time business development advisor with the company since 2000.
 
GABITASS NEW LOGISTICS CHIEF AT WJ COMMUNICATIONS

SAN JOSE - WJ Communications Inc., a designer and supplier of high-performance RF semiconductors and multi-chip modules (MCM), has appointed Michael Gabitass to the newly created position as Vice President of Supply Chain Management & Quality.

Gabitass will be responsible for all supply chain management functions, which include planning, procurement programs and supplier quality. The department will oversee manufacturing operations at the company's River Oaks plant, internal quality systems, corporate facilities, and safety and corporate IT systems.

He has been with the company since 1988 and holds a degree in electrical engineering from UCLA.
