CITIZENS BUSINESS BANK AQUIRES KAWEAH NATIONAL ONTARIO, CA - Citizens Business Bank has reportedly completed its acquisition of Kaweah National Bank. The $15.5 million cash and stock transaction was consummated on September 19. Kaweah National Bank was converted from Kaweah Thrift and Loan to Kaweah National Bank in February, 1995. At the close of business on Sept. 19, 2003, Kaweah National Bank gross loans were $72.7 million, total deposits were $81.7 million and total assets were $86.6 million. Five business financial and mortgage centers in the Central Valley communities of Visalia, Tulare, Porterville, Hanford, and McFarland are included in the acquisition. Citizens Business Bank now has 37 business financial centers located in 30 cities throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, Kern and Tulare Counties. The bank is one of the largest community banks in Southern and Central California with $3.6 billion in total assets. ACCOUNTING FIRM TO SPECIALIZE IN WINE INDUSTRY NAPA - The recently-formed accounting firm of O'Dowd, Franklin & Rabanal LLP has opened an office in Napa to provide certified accounting and business advisory services to the Northern California wine industry.
The new office is located in downtown Napa's Main Street Exchange Building. In addition to assurance services, such as financial statement audits and reviews, O'Dowd Franklin & Rabanal LLP will also provide tax services and traditional consulting services such as business valuations, financial forecasting and benchmarking.
