NEW "SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA" BRAND UNVEILED
TEMECULA - The Southwest California Economic Alliance (formerly the Southwest Riverside County Economic Alliance) has launched a new marketing brand - Southwest California - complete with an official logo, to identify the region encompassing Southwest Riverside County and the communities of Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula.
"A clear brand identity is essential, particularly when you are selling your destination in a very competitive marketplace statewide and nationally," said Stevie Field, manager of business development for the Southwest California Economic Alliance. "Southwest California is easy to remember and will give us the name recognition we have lacked in the past."
According to Dennis Frank, president of the Economic Development Corporation of Southwest Riverside County, "The branding of Southwest Riverside County with a new identity is a reflection on the continuing dramatic growth of the region, and the quality of businesses, professionals, and residents that make up the vitality of the area.
The past 14 years have seen the region grow from predominantly rural to a mixture of high-tech, medical, research, and manufacturing companies, with tourism, agriculture and the wine industry rounding out the dynamically diverse area."
Illustrating the Southwest California brand "is a newly designed logo incorporating California's traditional blue and gold hues.
The new Southwest California logo will be featured in various sales tools utilized by the Economic Alliance, such as printed collateral, trade show material and a promotional video highlighting the economic development progress in the region," he said.
Although created specifically for economic development purposes, the Southwest California brand and logo "can easily be adapted for other marketing endeavors involving tourism, commerce, education, and government."
