AIR CHINA LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE
LOS ANGELES - Air China has launched a four-time weekly service linking Shenyang and Los Angeles, as well as a thrice-weekly Shenyang-Sydney, Australia service via Beijing.
The carrier has also begun offering a single daily flight from Shenyang to Frankfurt via Beijing.
With a fleet size of 131 aircraft, Air China - China's national air carrier - operates 395 routes, including 73 international and 322 domestic routes, offering 480 scheduled flights daily.
VISA INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES NEW THAI PROGRAM SINGAPORE - Visa International has unveiled an exclusive partnership agreement with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to offer all Visa cardholders around the world extra benefits and perks when visiting Thailand.
The partnership begins with Visa's sponsorship of the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2004 that will run between June 1and July 31.
Under the partnership, Visa will support the Tourism Authority of Thailand in drawing inbound tourism through advertising, special tour package offers, and promotion initiatives. Visa will also join hands with leading retailers in Bangkok and nationwide to offer privileges, discounts to overseas and domestic shoppers.
During the month-long program, overseas and domestic shoppers using Visa cards at retail shops participating in the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale will enjoy special offers and discounts and will be also entitled to participate in a lucky draw offering prizes including travel packages to the Olympic Games in Athens, exclusive payment cards, tickets to Disney live performances, domestic travel packages within Thailand, and other Visa premiums and shopping vouchers.
Participating retailers include The Mall, Central, Siam Centre, Siam Discovery, Central World Plaza, Gaysorn, Amarin Plaza, and the Ploenchit Centre.
Visa currently has around 150,000 merchant locations in Thailand.
