QUIDEL SAYS CEO KAY TO DEPART
SAN FRANCISCO - S. Wayne Kay is leaving his post as Chief Executive Officer of Quidel Inc., a Bay Area-based manufacturer of medical diagnostic tests.
According to a statement issued by the company, Kay will stay with the company until its Board names a successor. Kay also held the position of position.
At the same time, the company also said it had promoted Mark Paiz to the post of Chief Operating Officer. Paiz was previously was responsible for Quidel's manufacturing operations. LARENAUDIE NAMED PRESIDENT-ASIA AT VUG
LOS ANGELES - Vivendi Universal Games has announced the promotion of Hubert Larenaudie to President of Asia Pacific.
In his new position, Larenaudie will be responsible for leading the company's operations throughout Asia Pacific reporting to VU Games CEO Bruce Hack.
Larenaudie most recently served as Senior Vice President and Director of Asia Pacific for VU Games, where he helped establish the company's Singapore-based headquarters, as well as subsidiaries and branch offices in Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan, and Australia.
Prior to joining VUG in 2000, Larenaudie held senior management positions at several multi-national organizations including BIC and Pierre Fabre. During that time, he lived and worked in a comprehensive range of major markets, including the US, Europe, Japan, China, Singapore, and Australia.
CISCO ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS
SAN JOSE - Cisco has named Charles Giancarlo as its new Chief Technology Officer.
The company said Giancarlo will report to Chief Executive Officer John Chambers. In addition, Cisco said Jayshree Ullal has been named to lead the company's newly formed Security Technology Group, with Luca Cafiero tapped to lead the newly formed Data Center, Storage, Switching and Wireless Technology Group.
