ROXY NAMES NEW SVP OF MERCHANDISING AND DESIGN

HUNTINGTON BEACH - Roxy, a division of Quiksilver, has named Mary Kwan as Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Design.

Kwan will be responsible for supervision of product development, leading the identification and allocation of human and operational resources, budget control and staffing needs.

She replaces Carol Christopherson, who was recently named President of Retail for Quiksilver, Americas.

Kwan has held senior positions with some of the apparel industry's largest and most influential brands, including Levi Strauss, Sears Roebuck & Co, The Limited Inc., Mervyn's, and JC Penney.

She will report directly to Steve Tully, president of Women's, Quiksilver Americas.
 
PRICE NAMED VP - GROUND TRANSPORTATION AT SIDESTEP

SANTA CLARA - Internet travel search engine SideStep has named Jim Price as its new Vice President, Ground Transportation.

In his new role, Price will focus on expanding and deepening global relationships with companies within the rental car, ground transportation services and rail sectors.

Prior to joining SideStep, Price served as Vice President, Business Development -- Western Region, for Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
 
He previously served as Global Director of Accounts for National Car Rentals, where he  managed a group of one hundred ten sales representatives and increased the value of his territory by 28%.

SideStep was named the Silicon Valley's third fastest growing private company in October, 2003, by PricewaterhouseCoopers and The Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.
