VARIAN APPOINTS NEW DIVISION HEAD
PALO ALTO - Varian Medical Systems Inc. has named Chris Hanna to head its newly formed Oncology Information Systems unit to develop and market the company's informatics software for the management of radiation oncology and medical oncology practices.
Hanna most recently served as CEO of TeraMEDICA, Inc., a medical software technology company that he co-founded to develop and commercialize software for medical information and image management and storage. He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Guelph in Canada and an undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of British Columbia.
GRAHAM DICK NAMED TO SECURE RISKS POST
NEWPORT BEACH - Graham Dick was recently appointed Regional Director - Latin America/Caribbean at Secure Risks Inc., a provider of security products and services to mitigate terrorist, criminal and security threats for governments and businesses worldwide.
Prior to joining Secure Risks, Dick was A Senior Intelligence Officer attached to Her Majesty's Customs and Excise. He has over twenty years experience in high level investigations and intelligence.
Dick has led some of the most high profile drug investigations conducted by HM Customs and Excise and has worked closely with law enforcement agencies throughout the world. For the last 9 years Dick has been involved in the UK's overseas narcotics network, firstly as the UK's Drugs Liaison Officer attached to the British Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela. He was responsible for implementing the UK's anti narcotics strategy in Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Surinam, French Guyana, and the Dutch Antilles, and was also responsible for advising British ambassadors and UK government ministers on the drug trade and strategy within these countries.
