WORLDQUEST MOVES INTO CALIFORNIA

LOS ANGELES - WorldQuest Networks Inc., an international telephony company, has entered into a distribution and marketing agreement with Phone House Inc. that gives the Texas-based company distribution to more than 4,000 retail locations in the Southern California market.

The new agreement generated more than $1 million of incremental revenue for WorldQuest in September, the first month that the agreement was in place.

WorldQuest allows customers to use the company's network of Internet gateways and other traditional networks to place long-distance calls online at discounted rates.

UTSTARCOM SIGNS CHINA CONTRACT

ALAMEDA - Wireless communications company UTStarcom Inc. recently signed a $37 million contract with China Netcom Corp. to expand the company's IP-based personal access system network in 11 cities in China's Hebei province.
