MANUFACTURING / ENGINEERING / CONSTRUCTION - October 15 to October 31, 2004

IMPCO EXPANDS IN INDIA

CERRITOS - The government of India has contracted with IMPCO Technologies Inc., to retrofit diesel-powered buses in ten major cities to natural gas.

In New Delhi, over 8,000 buses fueled with natural gas use IMPCO products. In Mumbai 100 buses have been equipped by the state-owned transit company using IMPCO products.

The eight remaining cities are in the process of initiating conversion, according to a company spokesman.

IMPCO designs, manufactures, markets and supplies advanced alternative fuel systems and related products to original equipment manufacturers and to the aftermarket for the mobile, industrial, power generation, and stationary engines market place.

IMPCO has offices in Asia, Europe, Australia and South and North America and more information on the company can be found at IMPCO's web site, http://www.impco.ws

CANADIAN FIRM SIGNS CAL DOT CONTRACT

SACRAMENTO - The California Department of Transportation (CDOT) has contracted with International Road Dynamics Inc. of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for the Canadian company to provide the state with transportation equipment, software, and highway services.

The contract, valued at $2.5 million, involves a data network, including "weigh-in-motion" sites and is the company's sixth consecutive service agreement with the CDOT since 1995.

The contract runs through May 31, 2007.

BULGARIA TO INVEST IN INFRASTRUCTURE

SOFIA, Bulgaria - The Bulgarian government has said it will spend an additional $92.8 million on roads and schools, mainly from its large budget surplus.

The infrastructure investment is the second spending hike by the government this year, bringing the total increase to $410 million, an amount agreed to by the International Monetary Fund.

The IMF is to decide on the extra spending in December when a Fund mission arrives in Sofia, but the agency has previously warned against further fiscal largesse that could lead to "economic overheating."
