Hewlett Packard has signed multiple information technology services "wins" with worldwide customers in the consumer electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and telecommunications industries. According to the Palo Alto-based computer giant, the global customer contracts build on HP Services' record revenue growth - a 13% increase year- over-year, or three times the market growth rate - as reported in November's financial results for its fourth fiscal quarter, which ended Oct. 31, 2004. Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. (TAEC) has moved its North American headquarters to new facilities in the Orange County community of Irvine. TAEC will occupy three floors in Newport Gateway Tower 2, part of an office complex located on the southeast corner of MacArthur Boulevard and Jamboree Road. Newport Gateway Center is part of the Irvine Business Complex, a 3,350-acre business community with more than 18 million square feet of Class A corporate office space surrounding John Wayne Orange County Airport, which has become a center for technology and professional offices in Irvine. Approximately 140 executive, marketing and administrative staff will be based in the new headquarters facilities to support more than 50,000 customers, TAEC's network of sales representatives and distributors, as well as TAEC's 16 additional offices and design centers throughout North America. TAEC's headquarters had been located in facilities on Toledo Way in Irvine for the past 16 years. TAEC is an independent operating company owned by Toshiba America Inc., a subsidiary of Tokyo-headquartered Toshiba, one of the five largest semiconductor companies in the world.
